🧙 Tour Experience & Other Info

19. Who are your guides?

Our guides are real life local ghosts who live in the towns they tour. Spindleshanks McScrew is an ancient ghoul who’s seen everything Otley has to offer and lives in the Market Place’s Jubilee Clock. The Butcher is one of Skipton’s crazed characters - her real name is Maggot “Maggie” Molly Spleen and she spent her (alive) days shuffling the streets of Skipton and flicking her cleaver at cats. Lord Bartholomew Catch is a Leeds trickster, Lord of the Briggate slums and barred from just about every pub the city has to offer.

20. Are the ghost tours suitable for younger children?

Yes! If they’re brave… parents can decide appropriateness, stories include ghosts, murders, witches, kings, queens and scary dolls. Look out for our emotional support ghost toys who we offer to our more sensitive guests.
